Education & Environment in the World: perspectives from the UK
On November 27, TAKANO Takako, outdoor adventurer and currently research student in the UK, will report on movements in global environmental education that she has documented in research visits to programs in the Arctic, Scotland, etc.
Participants: Students, employees, etc. interested in the environment and education.

TAKANO Takako joins "Voyage to the Future"

In a television program, "Voyage to the Future," produced by a Japanese National TV Network, "NHK," 42 students from 7 Asian countries gathered in Japan for a boat journey from Okinawa to Yokohama, during which they had many experiences. At the end of the journey, students presented their joint resolution for the future in a live broadcast.
TAKANO Takako joined the students on their journey and supported them in deepening their experiences and learning.

Stream Climbing Adventure Camp Report

Eco-Club held an adventure camp in Tanzawa, Kanagawa Pref. Japan from Sept. 13th-15th. Participants ranging from their twenties through thirties joined and challenged themselves through low impact camping , experiences in nature, and stream climbing.

ECO-CLUB is a volunteer organization carrying out environmental education programs in Japan and other countries focusing on the themes of, "People", "Nature" and "Culture".

    ECOPLUS is an official NPO based in Japan working to combine the hands-on environmental experiences of Eco-Club with the global networking of World School Network. Eco-Club (founded by TAKANO Takako) and World School Network (under chairperson MIENO Yasushi) will continue activities as projects of ECOPLUS.
    The organization's management, content, budget and directors etc. will be decided by members at its annual members' meeting. Full members will participate at this meeting.

      Full membership 10,000 Yen Right to vote at annual members' meeting. Receive all ECOPLUS newsletters. Anyone can become a full member.
      Standard membership 5,000 Yen Receive all ECOPLUS newsletters. Do not have right to vote at members' meeting.
      Discount membership 2,000 Yen Reduced membership for students, seniors, and others with no income. Receive all ECOPLUS newsletters.

      Eco-Club and World School Network are always looking for volunteers to be involved in different projects. There is a wide variety of volunteer work, including daily office work, event staff, outdoor staff, etc. All interested please contact us at the ECO-CLUB office.
